to live a positive life with gratitude, joy, enthusiasm, helping
others - and the universe will chip in with all the resources you need

THE MARKET OF BLESSINGS

Did you ever have those days when you've wondered why you're not
blessed? Actually, you are!
Perhaps you're not receiving the blessings because you're not
investing enough in the Market of Blessings. What is the Market of
Blessings?

It's that unseen influence that opens the door to opportunities,
potentials and advantages. Most, if not all, religions teach about
sowing and reaping, that universal principle of whatever you give out
will return to you.

I call it investing in the Market of Blessings. How can we tap into
it?

1. Decide to be a giver than a receiver. Investing means to first give
before receiving the dividends of what we have given. If we want our
share of blessings, we have first to be a blessing. Oftentimes we go
out into the world demanding that our wants and needs be met. When we
decide to first be a blesser, the Market of Blessings open up to us.

2. Decide each day how you are going to be a giver. It could be a
simple gesture of allowing someone to pass your lane as you're
driving; or by being of service to a co-employee; or giving a few
dollars to a charity. A blessing need not be material. Just as you can
bless in so many ways, blessings will also come to you in many ways.

3. Put forth a cheerful countenance. When you give without reluctance
or regret, so do blessings come in the same way. When a blessing is
given freely, it returns freely. Inner joy is a choice. It doesn't
come from outside sources. It comes from within you. Tap into that as
you give and you'll see your circumstances change.

4. Develop an attitude of gratitude. Be thankful always. As you bless,
you create the environment for receiving blessings in turn by being
sincerely grateful. Thank people. Thank God. Thank the universe. Have
a heart of thankfulness and you open a funnel of blessings to you.

You may think the above is, at best, hocus-pocus; at worse, mumbo-
jumbo. It isn't. We live in a world of energy. Thus, every cause has
an effect, just as touching one part of a spider web will vibrate to
and be felt on the other end. When we perform a deed, it will have an
effect. That effect will, in turn, return to cause an effect on us,
usually in several measures.

When we actively bless others, the effect is others actively blessing
us, although at times we won't even know personally the person
blessing us. We also develop an aura of blessing that attracts good
things.

Try investing in the Market of Blessing. It doesn't cost much but the
dividends may be priceless.

SAIL THE SEVEN C'S!

There is an old expression most of us have heard: "Life is a journey,
not a destination."
Assuming this is true, I would like to suggest that you use your
life's journey to sail the Seven C's:

Clarity, Commitment Congruence Control Catch-On Communication, and
Consciousness.

Some people use their precious time to take the same route over and
over again. Often there is a fear factor associated with these people.

When you are scared or nervous about change, it seems the easiest
thing to do is to stay put. This would make sense if the world around
you didn't move.

But like an escalator, when you stay in place, you find that your
surroundings change around you.

Believe me, there is no security in staying place.

Other people are willing to move, but don't have a particular plan for
where they are going.

This sounds like it would be fun for a while, but eventually you get
lost and may never find your way back to yourself!

Sailing the Seven C's is a different kind of journey. Like the
explorers of the past who sailed the Seven Seas, there is no road map
to follow and the outcome is uncertain.

But the voyage is challenging, thrilling, and fulfilling.

New discoveries await around every turn, and you find incredible
treasures you can keep forever!

So here is a brief explanation of the Seven C's. I do my best to sail
them every day.

CLARITY: Knowing who you are and how you got there; knowing where you
want to be.

COMMITMENT: Making the decision that your goals will be the most
important thing in your daily life.

CONGRUENCE: Acting in a way that is consistent with your values and
your goals.

CONTROL: Organizing your life and taking control of your daily
existence; choosing to focus on the things that are easiest to
control.

CATCH-ON: Adding the knowledge and skills you need to work toward the
things that are important to you.

COMMUNICATION: Establishing meaningful connections with others; asking
for what you need, listening to what others need.

CONSCIOUSNESS: Reflecting on your actions with the goal of improving
as you go; building a connection to a higher spiritual awareness.

The Seven C's are an important part of life for anyone, regardless of
age, gender or life situation.

When you make the decision to "Sail The Seven C's," you embark on a
journey that brings you excitement, challenge, success, and ultimately
peace.
